When I was in grade school my favorite time of day was when I was allowed to draw and paint. As I got older, this love never faded and eventually I began my personal mission to study art. I began with tempera paints and oils. I was inspired by an artist neighbor to study china painting and work in her home studio. Sheila moved away so I studied this art for many years with other teachers until I was satisfied I knew all I needed to start my own studio .

I use china paint as my medium to paint on white porcelain . These pieces are fired in a kiln many times as the painting progresses. I have used many different mediums in the past

I enjoy horticulture and nature
......so many of my pieces are directly influenced by this love . Roses birds butterflies were my first inspirations. My love for art deco and studying works of great artists were important in finding my own style .
